Give the group chat a plan everyone can see.
A route link for the details, a picture for the excitement, a PDF to keep.

The planning problem
Someone sends a screenshot. Someone else has an older version. The most enthusiastic person ends up explaining the same journey again and again. A useful plan should be as easy to pass along as the idea for the trip.
Show the trip. Start the conversation.
A friend should be able to understand the idea before opening the planner. Here are three ways the same 14-day train example, starting on 27 November 2026, makes the trip easier to picture.
A picture that says where you are going
The route card puts the trip length, market count and route outline in one shareable picture. It gives the group something more useful than a pile of disconnected screenshots.
The same route behind the picture
When someone wants more detail, the route link opens the same duration, transport and start date. The map gives them the order of towns rather than another message to interpret.
A day everyone can understand
This preview of 28 November shows the transfer to Quedlinburg and the market visit together. Your friends can see what the plan includes before deciding whether to join.
These previews use one illustrative route. A shared link is a common starting point, not live collaborative editing; source-calendar updates can change the generated itinerary.
Send the route, with its settings
Choose your days, transport and start date, then tap Build my multi-stop route. Review your days and continue to Next: save & share. Tap Invite friends to this route to open the native share sheet on supported iPhones. The link preserves the route length, travel mode, language and start date. If native sharing is unavailable, the app offers copying or a selectable link.
Let a picture start the conversation
Create a route picture to preview your Christmas journey as a branded map. Share the image from supported devices or download it to send yourself. The route link remains the way to open the full plan; the picture is a visual invitation, not live navigation.
Keep the version you want to travel with
In the save & share section, save the route in the current browser or open More ways to keep this trip to export the map and daily itinerary as a PDF. Browser saving stays on that device and browser, so send yourself the link or keep the PDF for another device. Friends open a shared starting point; changes are not a live collaborative edit.
Try it in three steps
- 1Choose your trip and build the route
- 2Review your days, then save & share
- 3Send the link, picture or PDF
Sharing depends on browser support. A saved route or PDF is not a booking, and a shared plan may change when its source calendars are refreshed.
Make this trip your own
The example is a starting point. Open the same dates and transport, then review your own route.
